The company that shipped this product, Outland U.S.A. provided excellent service. Prompt delivery and well packaged. These shirts are great for summer activities especially hiking. This shirt is partially redesigned. The picture in this advertisement shows the original design which the seller is NOT selling. The original design that I bought in 2014 had pleated front pockets, small size was actually closer to medium and one velcro strip per pocket to hold the pocket cover down. Over time, the single velcro strip didn't hold the pocket contents very well and made it a little droopy. The newer version has two velcro strips per pocket to hold the pocket contents better, but the pockets are no longer pleated. Pleated pockets allow more stuff to fit in the pocket by allowing the pocket to balloon out. I bought a small and medium shirt of this newly designed shirt. The small size is truly small size (the original design shirt, the small size fit just fine). I bought a small size and it was a little small, a tighter fit, and the zip pocket was smaller which made it difficult to put my passport in. I bought another newer version shirt, but medium size this time (shown in this review), which has a little longer sleeves but fits nicely and allows an easy fit for my passport in the zip pocket. I'm buying this newer-designed shirt (medium) because it's useful and fits just fine. Nice improvement on the 2 velcro strips, but I miss the pleated pockets. Finally, the price. The price has shot up to about 52% in just 5 years , which I'm a bit angry about that. Much better utility shirt than maybe Magellan, which I never owned. I needed and need a shirt that provides what this shirt has in attributes, UV protection, long sleeves, security-zipped pocket, back-of-neck sun cover (part of collar that rolls out), easy wash-dry, light-weight, durable, little tab for holding your glasses inside the pocket, good air vents.I have been looking for a gardening shirt for use in central Chile to protect me from the sun (around 90F for 4+ months of the year). to replace my 25 year old Rohan lightweight long sleeved shirts, my search for now is over. The GoodThe material is light, breathable, wicks well and feels nice against the skin (I have a rip-stop nylon shirt that after 2 years wear is still very rough). Not tested but I would expect it to be good in a humid climate.Keeps me cool - I think the vents are probably more of a gimmick than useful as they need quite a breeze to workNice inner zipped pocked for my smartphone so there is no risk of it falling outThe pockets are very large & will take a kindle with caseDries very quickly even if you are wearing it & does not need ironingNot So GoodNot really suitable for the office as you would look a little odd with the shirt tucked in your trousers due to the big pockets.Any weight in a pocket causes it to drop a little so it is lower than the other pocketBit expensive if you pay full priceSP30 not SP50 sun protectionSIZEMost of the complaints about the shirt seem to be about size, unfortunately ExOfficio do not tell you what the actual measurements are so that you can compare to an existing shirtI'm 6' 1" and 180lb and have both medium and large sizes - the Medium is the better fit, but for gardening I like the extra space in the Large fittingGood For:Gardening, Travelling, HikingThe large size and detailed design of the chest pockets (6"wide X 7&3/4" high) was my main motivation to cough up the money for these shirts. The pockets have bellows on the bottom and sides, a pleat in the middle and a flap on top....Serious pockets for holding bulky items which are not too heavy. Moreover, the pockets are placed a bit low to allow easier access. One criticism:--I feel that one velcro closure in the middle of each flap is not adequate and should be replaced with two...one at the end of each flap. The 'secret' pocket on the right is flat with a zipper on top.I love the versatility of having the option of short or long sleeves made possible by the flap and button on each sleeve. The sleeves are full and do not bind when rolled up. The ventilation areas are effective and unobtrusive. I wear shirts like these all year around as a base layer; Adding layers over it when need be.These shirts are very lightweight but due to the nylon-polyester blend, they should be several times more abrasion and tear resistant (but less heat resistant) than cotton. The shirts are easy to hand wash and due to the type of material, dry quickly. Another detail I find useful in the gym and at night is the hang loop in the backThe quality control of these Airstrip shirts appears to be at a high level. I bought one at first as a test. All the proportions were right and the sewing was tight with small stitches. I then purchase four more in different colors and they all conformed to the same high standard. I plan to buy more in the future. We are moving to Panama and I wanted to try out a shirt designed with that in mind. Well, ExOfficio hit the bullseye on this one. First of all the fit is very easy and comfortable. The shirts are cut fairly large so be careful when you order them. I normally wear a standard 15.5 33 in a dress shirt, but for this one I did not want it to be "too tight" in Panama. Initially, I ordered a Large and that was a BIG mistake. It fit me like a tent. However, due to Amazon's easy returns policy I sent it back immediately and got a medium. Bingo. The fit was just right. In use it was a dream. Even when it was hot and humid in Panama City I wasn't soaking wet in this shirt (being white the sweat did not show as much - hint, hint). Also, at night I followed the washing instrutions, took it into the shower with me, washed it with my hair shampoo, then wrang it out and hung it up to air dry on a coat hanger. It says specifically not to use an iron on it (didn't have one anyway) and although it wasn't quite as smooth as when I first got it, it was perfectly acceptabe.I intend to be several more (even at $50+). This shirt totally does what it says it's supposed to do.
